The name is a personal statement and reflection of attitude, not a statement of my ability as a DJ.
I was originally mentored and trained at Nepenthe Industries West's "DJ Bootcamp" for almost two years and have been Djing privately for house and general parties since 2007. I began DJing professionally at nightclubs March 2008. I am primarily a freelance nightclub DJ at Industrial and "Underground clubs" throughout Las Vegas, NV. I am also a resident for Theory Radio currently.
I like to bring it hard, harsh and thumpy to make the bodies move for hours at a time. When I am not cramming people with the audio aggro I like to dial it back with various dark electronics and slip in several things that may just make you laugh along the way. Don't forget if you can't manage to dance more than the DJ, you need to start shaking it.
One of my friends has even created a site where you can get DJ Epic MegafaiL merchandise. I do not get any proceeds or profits from this stuff, it’s designed and distributed as a long running inside joke. I need more groupies to attain my "Superstar" status!!!

It is important for a DJ to be proficient not only with their preferred setup or personal equipment but whatever may be provided to them. To this length I have worked to be proficient at not only several different styles but on all types of gear.
I do peronally strive to have the best equipment I can afford, especially so that I can provide my own whenever possible for an event.
I started really working with CD's and then quickly transitioned to using Traktor 3 with a variety of midi controllers.
From there I purchased Pioneer CDJ-800's and began using Serato Scratch LIVE to manage my music.
After that I began training on Numark TT-200 Turntables to round out my experience.
Finally I completed my rig with the Rane TTM57SL mixer which expands on Serato and allows me to take my mixes further.
My main rig is a pair of Numark TT-200 tables with Sure M44-7 needles and the Rane TTM57SL with my Serato laptop. I do travel with this rig.
I have a backup/alternate rig that swaps out the Numarks for my Pioneer CDJ-800's in a coffin to help accommodate mixed sets with other CDs not apt to using Serato or vinyl

I am a "Long-Mix" style DJ, as opposed to Skratch or "Radio Style". Through most all of my mixes I work at deeply blending the two songs together so that there is a ebb and flow between songs and my entire set and almost a slight mash-up feel to my mixes as I overlay tracks. I of course do not stick to this strictly as variety is important! I will use as many styles and abilities as I can through out a night to keep the crowd on it's toes and on the dance floor.
I am always trying to find and listen to new and fresh music, constantly trying to find new sounds and artists. This bleeds in to my DJing immensely! While I have my set of `aces` that my crowd will know and love I try to keep my sets filled with new and original music. I like to expose my audience to as many recent tracks by favorite artists and new things that they may not know as possible.
One of my major goals as a DJ is not just to entertain the crowd with my music but also my style and physical performance. It's believed the appearance of the DJ is just as much of the show as the music itself. I am a very energetic DJ, when the music gets flowing my adrenaline starts flowing and I am on pins and needles. I try to share this with the crowd by putting myself in to every mix and trying to shift a mood as well as a BPM.
I am always working on mixing even more styles and sounds in to my repertoire.
Feel free to check out my setlists from prior events.
I do not prepare sets or tracks at all before I play… I run fully off the cuff.

My professional experience is club based and I can provide equipment up to but not including the main sound system.
I am a Serato DJ and at minimum will provide my Rane TTM57SL two channel mixer and/or a SL1 with cables to hook to an existing mixer, timecode vinyl/CDs, laptop and stand upon arrival. I make a point of arriving at least an hour early for any event. If this is not acceptable I will need 2 weeks prior notice to compile and prepare the CD's for the set. I do not spin vinyl outside of Serato Scratch LIVE.
I will promote any event that I am participating in to the best of my ability starting two weeks before large events event and three days for weekly clubs given proper prior notice. This includes internet promotion on Livejournal, Myspace, twitter, ect,, word of mouth, and distributing flyers if available.
If you want Epic MegafailL to spin your event or would like a demo please send me a message on the contact page.
